Strengthening the Cooperative Movement in NYC

Cooperative members, organizers and advocates came together on December 18 for Fair Work, a workshop sponsored by the Center for Family Life. The workshop's morning session, for cooperative members and developers, focused on planning for the development of a local cooperative business network. Following a keynote address by Stu Schneider of Cooperative Home Care Associates, workshop participants learned about organizing for worker and immigrant rights, engaging expert business consultants, and the social and emotional benefits of cooperative membership in three breakout sessions.
